[Podcast] Ep. 47: Interview with BRANDON SALLER, Vocalist of US Metalcore Titans ATREYU.
This morning, I caught up with Brandon Saller, longstanding vocalist of seminal US metalcore outfit Atreyu - just ahead of their impending sold-out tour of Australia in July. A tour which will feature both fellow US core-employers Memphis May Fire and a setlist oriented to the 20th anniversary of landmark album 'The Curse' (20 years?! Really...?)!
Brandon and I had a great conversation surrounding not only the upcoming tour but also sharing recent successes, thoughts and reflections on Atreyu as a band, The Curse's 20th anniversary as a watershed album, the state of the metalcore scene and even some words of inspiration for staying a motivated scene-kid forever.
Link to the podcast interview can be found below for Spotify, as well as our range of other platforms! Be sure to peep the details in the show notes below as well; all the info you’ll need for the upcoming Australian tour, plus a bunch of extra Atreyu-goodies!
As Always,
Peace, Love & Grindcore (And Belting Out Atreyu Choruses Full Volume) xoxo - Brady.

ATREYU ANNOUNCE THE CURSE 20TH ANNIVERSARY AUSTRALIA TOUR, IN A CO-HEADLINE WITH MEMPHIS MAY FIRE!
Bands of renown all boast a number of great albums to their name. But within that body of work there is always that one album. That magnum opus. That genre defining, gravity defying masterpiece that sets a standard by which not only their peers, but the band themselves are measured by forevermore. For ATREYU, THE CURSE is that album.
With their legacy as one of the originators and frontrunners of metalcore, and a reputation as one of its greatest live bands, ATREYU could have easily rested on their laurels with their notoriety assured for life. Instead they have embraced growth and evolution, seamlessly morphing between styles but always ending up with killer results.
July 2025 will see ATREYU return to Australia to celebrate the 20th anniversary of The Curse with a series of never to be repeated shows that will see them play the songs from the album as well as other fan favourites.
Check out ATREYU’s ‘Right Side of the Bed’ from The Curse:
Joining ATREYU on this epic outing is another of the OGs and flag bearers of Metalcore, Texan Titans, MEMPHIS MAY FIRE, who are marking their first Australian appearance in over a decade since touring as special guests to Parkway Drive in 2015. Known for their unassailable live shows, MMF have an uncanny ability to connect with their audience on an otherworldly plane, turning band and audience into one living, breathing, circle pit dancing organism - Perhaps best described by Insomniac as "A sonic confessional, confronting the brokenness so many feel, and challenging that darkness with an aggressive call toward a hard-won victory".
"The drums are huge; the guitars are loud and punchy and frontman Matty Mullins drifts from clean vocals to rock belters to guttural screams with ease. There’s not one song here that you won’t find yourself banging your head to" - WALL OF SOUND
