II: Italian Punk/Hardcore Band TORNADO LOBSTER KILLER Releases New Single and Lyric Video For "Rhya":
Heavy News With Thanks To:
MILAN, ITALY — After the sarcastic urgency of "Pay To Play," Tornado Lobster Killer return to explore a more intimate and vulnerable side of their universe with "Rhya," the second single from their upcoming album Lobsteria.
While the band's previous single focused on the contradictions and frustrations of the punk and hardcore scene, "Rhya" turns inward, inhabiting a quieter yet equally unsettling emotional landscape. Written and arranged by Matteo, the song emerged from a period marked by job instability, uncertainty, and the persistent feeling of falling short of expectations—a state that can gradually erode one's sense of purpose and momentum.
The lyrics offer a candid reflection on the weight of choices, unrealized potential, and the way life can sometimes become haunted by memories of who we once were—or who others believed we could be. Yet within that darkness, "Rhya" offers a glimmer of hope. The song takes its name from someone deeply important to the songwriter, a person with whom a profound journey through pain and self-discovery was shared before distance intervened. Moving between dedication and longing, loss and reconnection, the song suggests that even in our most difficult moments, human connection remains a powerful source of resilience.
Musically, "Rhya" reflects the band's continued evolution on Lobsteria. Tornado Lobster Killer push further into faster, tighter territory inspired by melodic hardcore while maintaining the emotional intensity and expressive urgency that have always defined their sound. The result is one of the album's most affecting and multidimensional tracks.
Remaining true to their fiercely DIY ethos, the band once again handled every aspect of the recording process themselves. The single was recorded, mixed, and mastered at Cristian Masiero Music Studio, with bass tracks recorded at HP Music Studio in Ringwood, UK, underscoring the band's commitment to complete creative independence.
Accompanying the release is a lyric video conceived, filmed, and edited by Croma, visually translating the song's reflective and melancholic atmosphere while amplifying its emotional weight.
The single artwork features photography by Nora, with graphic design by Croma, further showcasing the band's fully self-contained artistic vision.
Since forming in 2018, Tornado Lobster Killer have cultivated a distinct identity within the underground scene through a radically independent approach and uncompromising creative vision. With Lobsteria, they continue to balance social commentary with personal introspection, anger with vulnerability, and urgency with reflection.
With "Rhya," Tornado Lobster Killer momentarily lower the volume, but the impact cuts deeper than ever.

III: Indian Prog Metal/Mathcore Band Maneating Orchid Release New Single & Visualizer:
Indian prog metal/mathcore outfit Maneating Orchid release new single and visualizer for "Void Engine". This track is the second offering from their forthcoming album Cold Logic, set for release on June 5, 2026 via Subcontinental Records.
The band comment as follows, regarding the single:
"Void Engine: Sonically, “Void Engine” channels manic punk energy before warping into dense, technical riffage, culminating in a massive, obliterating outro that leaves you suspended in a dissolving void. Thematically, it explores a vast, unknowable machine buried in deep space that seems to shape the very fabric of reality. This Lovecraftian mechanism endlessly churns out existence without purpose or intent, reducing life to a byproduct of an indifferent, eternal process."
Watch here:
Formed in 2011, Maneating Orchid has spent over a decade carving out a distinct space in extreme music. Previously known as “Orchid,” the band has forged a sound that twists progressive metal and mathcore into something volatile and unhinged. With dense, dissonant riffing, abrasive vocals, and song structures that collapse and mutate in real time, they have consistently pushed the boundaries of heavy music while developing a voice that is unmistakably their own.
Their 2016 self-titled EP introduced them as true outliers, earning cult status and critical praise. The debut full-length, Miasma (2019), sharpened that chaotic edge further, cementing their reputation for crafting unpredictable music that defies easy categorisation. By the time Hive Mind (2022) arrived, Maneating Orchid had fully evolved into one of contemporary extreme metal’s most singular and uncompromising voices, with no intention of sounding comfortable or familiar.
Now, with their third album on the horizon, the band is diving even deeper into sonically mercurial territory.

IV: Atlanta (GA, US) Trio APOSTLE Release Dynamic New LP A Splinter In The Infinite Noumenon, Out Now Via Terminus Hate City:
ATLANTA, GA, metal trio APOSTLE have announced their dynamic and emotionally charged forthcoming full-length A Splinter in the Infinite Noumenon. The new album is scheduled for release on June 5, 2026, via Terminus Hate City.
"Exiting the God Hologram" introduces the album with the approaching rumble of a train passing by at night, a sample that was recorded from vocalist and guitarist Murice White’s apartment. The track explores the idea that there is not one singular 'correct' way to experience or traverse through life. The lyrics contain striking imagery of a blood-filled sea splitting in half to reveal two paths. Whichever path is taken, only one view of reality, of 'truth', will be experienced. Musically, a progression of sonic heaviness in numerous forms is offered across the song as it ventures through emotive passageways.
Segueing into "Illusion of Loss", the band draws from experience of personal loss and the emotional weight that lingers in its wake. APOSTLE considers how loss reshapes identity, how it brings forward buried parts of oneself, and how memory can guide purpose moving forward. The musical arrangement is intense and discordant. Later in "Illusion of Loss", anguish-fueled instrumentation gives way to moments of introspection, before the track closes with a distorted spoken sample.
Confronting systems of oppression, consequence, and accountability, "Swine" delivers a sound that is urgent, angry and frustrated. Melodic elements build further the emotional tension that is contrasted against angular guitars. As "Swine" reaches its end, the walls feel as if they’re closing in as everything unravels into pure entropic chaos.
"Distortions of Light" begins with a recording of E.E. Cummings offering advice to his students. As he states, “…but the moment you feel, you are nobody but yourself”, APOSTLE embarks through murky soundscapes, unforgiving shadows and enticing melodies. In this track, the band envision the concept of reality being represented by a giant diamond suspended in the sky. Upon breaking, and the splinters falling to earth, it is a distorted version of reality that is revealed in the fragments on the ground.
"Oscillating Polarities" arrives with a deafening cacophony of entwining double bass, cymbal flourishes and a serpentine plucking pattern of disjointed yet perfectly intonated notes. The groove within the track acts like a pendulum swing. The vicious nature of the music is enhanced with Murice’s most extreme gutturals to manifest across the track list. "Oscillating Polarities" is about listening to one's intuition, perception, the inner voice, the gut; being able to trust yourself especially in times of hardship.
"At Ease" returns to the mournful-yet-hopeful guitar melody that was heard at the end of the opening track, "Exiting the God Hologram". The atmosphere grows with layers of feedback and swelling cymbals. Further into the song, the arrangement showcases APOSTLE at their most vulnerable. Evan establishes a jazzy shuffle and Mike holds down the root notes of this incredibly emotional and reflective passage, all of which are being commanded by Murice’s heart-rending and gut-wrenching guitar solo. "At Ease", and A Splinter in the Infinite Noumenon, conclude in a sonic shroud that is both triumphant yet bittersweet.
The album's title references Carl Jung’s description of humanity as a “splinter in the infinite deity,” framing the record as an exploration of spiritual duality, grief, and self-examination. Across six tracks and 27 minutes, the band move through themes of loss, mortality, internal conflict, and eventual healing. The record serves as both a meditation on the human condition and a deeply personal tribute shaped by grief and remembrance.
Produced, engineered, and mixed by Connor Ray at Sobek Sound and mastered by Erol Ulug at Bright Lights, A Splinter in the Infinite Noumenon presents APOSTLE in their most refined and expansive form.
About APOSTLE:
APOSTLE are an emotive and urgent metal trio from Atlanta, Georgia whose sound bridges chaotic hardcore, grind, post-black metal, and atmospheric post-rock. Formed in 2017, the band channels themes of grief, spirituality, emotional vulnerability, and the human condition into music that balances overwhelming intensity with moments of stark beauty and reflection.
Following early independent releases including Shallow Graves (2018), Sufferer (2019), and I Have Tried to Speak Through the Soil in My Mouth (2021), APOSTLE underwent a defining lineup shift when founding vocalist Cameron Austin departed in 2021. Guitarist Murice White assumed full vocal duties while Michael Thomas transitioned to bass, solidifying the lineup alongside drummer Evan Price. This evolution marked a turning point in the band’s creative direction, deepening both their sonic atmosphere and emotional scope.
Since signing with Terminus Hate City in 2022, APOSTLE have continued refining a sound defined by urgency, catharsis, and dynamic contrast. Their music moves fluidly between blistering aggression and expansive melodic passages, reflecting an intent to confront pain, loss, love, and healing with honesty rather than abstraction.
Their latest album, A Splinter in the Infinite Noumenon, represents the band’s most fully realized work to date. Drawing from existential philosophy and deeply personal experiences with grief and remembrance, the record explores humanity’s connection to something greater while acknowledging the struggle inherent in being human. Across its runtime, APOSTLE seek connection through shared emotional experience, transforming personal suffering into collective release.
APOSTLE is:
