CRADLE OF FILTH (UK)/ DEVILDRIVER (US)
2026 Co-Headliner Australian Tour
When British extreme metal legends CRADLE OF FILTH and American metal titans DEVILDRIVER, two of heavy music’s most iconic and ferocious bands - each with a stellar reputation for incredible live shows - joined forces for a North American tour in 2023 the results were predictably amazing and the synergy undeniable.
"a face-grinding heavy package that lived up to the hype and left fans ecstatic" Ghost Cult Magazine
"a triumphant collision of American and British heavy metal, leaving the audience drenched in adrenaline" South Florida Insider.
Now Australia will finally experience this much lauded team-up in July of this year as the two titans bring full headline sets packed with classics, to deliver a night of unrelenting intensity, theatrical horror, and crushing grooves.
Cradle of Filth, led by the inimitable Dani Filth, continue to reign as the most influential and enduring name in extreme metal. Their reputation as a singular artistic force and as one of the most insanely entertaining live acts metal has ever produced remains unchallenged. Fresh off the success of their acclaimed 14th studio album The Screaming of the Valkyries, the band is ready to unleash their signature blend of blackened gothic metal, orchestral grandeur, and venomous lyricism on Australian fans who in turn rewarded the band with a fully sold-out tour on their last visit.
DevilDriver, spearheaded by the powerhouse Dez Fafara, bring their signature groove-laden modern metal assault. Known for their punishing riffs, ferocious energy, and anthemic songwriting, the band will deliver a career defining set from early crushers to recent heavy-hitters. DevilDriver have spent two decades forging a sound built on chaos and catharsis, with a brooding ritualistic intensity all delivered with the kind of conviction only a band at the top of their game can command.

Pittsburgh BDM Quartet, VULGAR MEPHITIS (US), Makes Willowtip RECORDS Debut with From Dust
Pittsburgh (PA) - Brutal death metal foursome, Vulgar Mephitis, have joined the Willowtip roster! The band is set to release From Dust, their debut full-length album, on September 11.
The album's first single, "Martyr," is available now on all digital platforms.
Check it out at:
On From Dust, Vulgar Mephitis follows their 3-track, 2022 self-titled debut EP with a compositionally varied approach that disorients with violent tempo disruption and dissonant riff angularity. The impression left is a lasting, albeit jarring, one.
Guitarist Dan Martin explains the songwriting approach this time around: "The main difference in songwriting from the 2022 EP to now would be the addition of myself and Nick Bentzel (drums) stepping into the band, which expanded upon the way songs are structured in general. Previously, the writing process was solely done by Jay Schweinberg (bass) and Jacob Toy (vocals). At the time, the idea was to be a straight up brutal band with linear song structures."
From Dust will be available on CD, vinyl, and digital formats.

Vaeovon (New Zealand) - Spiritual Nullification (Released 20th April, 2026 via Gutter Prince Cabal):
Emerging from the shadows with a sound built on pure velocity and violence, New Zealand's Vaeovon announce their debut album Spiritual Nullification, set to be released on April 20th via Gutter Prince Cabal.
With Spiritual Nullification, Vaeovon deliver a relentless assault of lightning-fast, razor-sharp blackened death metal that is bewildering in its intensity. Propelled by retching vocals and relentless blasting that only briefly relents to sink the knife in deeper, the album unfolds as a vortex of frenzied riffing that seems to rip sinew from bone. The result feels like a speed run through hell while being dragged behind an unstoppable daemon engine, violent, suffocating, and utterly uncompromising.
The album was recorded throughout 2024, with vocals recorded at Funeral Studios and all instruments tracked at Ifrit Productions. Mixing, mastering, and the album’s ambient tracks were handled by Oli Smith. The cover artwork was created by Warhead Art, with additional artwork by AS.
With their debut full-length, Vaeovon establish themselves firmly within the lineage of savage and uncompromising extreme metal, delivering a record that prioritizes intensity, speed, and destructive intent above all else.

GOLD SPIRE (SWE) - 'Steps Into Shadow'
Band: GOLD SPIRE
Album: Steps into Shadow
Release Date: June 19, 2026
Country: Sweden
Label: Awakening Records
Genre: Progressive Doom/Death
GOLD SPIRE’s second full-length album Steps into Shadow will be released on June 19, 2026 via Awakening Records. The album will be available on CD and digital formats.
Formed in 2019 in Uppsala, Sweden, GOLD SPIRE was created by brothers Erik Sundström and Påhl Sundström following the end of Usurpress. What began as an outlet for ideas developed during the recording sessions for Usurpress’ final album Interregnum gradually evolved into a project drawing from progressive death metal, doom, progressive rock, and jazz-influenced arrangements.
Together with saxophonist Magnus Kjellstrand and bassist Petter Broman, the band developed a sound focused more on atmosphere, contrast, and dynamics than strict genre boundaries. Heavy sections sit alongside slower melodic passages, while saxophone, flute, and layered arrangements play a consistent role throughout the material.
On Steps into Shadow, GOLD SPIRE moves toward a darker and more direct approach while keeping the progressive and death metal foundation central to the album. The material balances heavier riffs and dense arrangements with more restrained passages, allowing the album’s atmosphere to build gradually across its runtime.
The album also marks the first release with vocalist Arvid Sjödin (FLOATING), who joined the band following the departure of former vocalist Heval Bozarslan. His vocal approach brings a different presence to the material while fitting naturally into the band’s evolving sound.
Steps into Shadow was recorded between 2023 and 2026 at Studio Siborator by Erik Sundström, with mixing and mastering handled by Lawrence Mackrory. The artwork was created by Påhl Sundström.
Rather than moving further toward technical excess, GOLD SPIRE continues to focus on mood, pacing, and atmosphere, combining progressive structures with death metal weight and darker melodic elements without losing cohesion.
