NEW SINGLES TO MINGLE WITH:
a) VIOGRESSION Share New Single, "Superposition"
Milwaukee (WI) - U.S. Death Metal veterans, Viogression, have released "Superposition," the second single from forthcoming album,
Thaumaturgic Veil. Stream it at this location.
Thaumaturgic Veil is a metaphysical sonic construct, weaving intricate threads of human consciousness, vibrational frequency, and esoteric intent into a tapestry that transcends the boundaries of death metal. This work explores the interplay of awareness, magic, and the latent potential encoded within humanity’s neurocognitive framework.
Thaumaturgic Veil explores the interplay of consciousness, subconsciousness, and materiality, viewing existence as a binary system shaped by vibrational frequencies—the core medium molded by individual intent. These measurable waves connect the chaos of infinite potential to the order of the observable universe, reflecting ancient alchemy’s transformation of matter and awareness, akin to esoteric traditions and Thelema’s Great Work, uniting boundless Nuit and focused Hadit. Meditation and altered mental states enhance this, using frequencies to push perception and align with higher realities, as Crowley’s magick—change through intent—shapes the album’s structure.
The opening track ("Enûma Elish Ilū") introduces infinity as a recurring theme, its modal tones evoking Nuit’s expanse and microtonal shifts hinting at Hadit’s precision, tying into the album’s finite-eternal tension. Building on 2022’s 3rd Stage of Decay, this work intensifies with complex compositions: a primordial voice, heavy, growling guitars and bass conjure raw potential; relentless drums blast and propel it forward, while melodic leads and overtones pierce the dissonance, balancing distortion and clarity. Guttural yet ethereal, its sound design engages the auditory cortex, heightening awareness to match the album’s vision.
For enthusiasts of old-school death metal, Viogression delivers a raw, unrelenting sound steeped in the genre’s early ‘90s roots. Reviewers frequently liken their sludgy, thuggish heaviness to Obituary, noting a shared penchant for trudging, dissonant riffs, though Viogression infuses a Midwestern grit distinct from Florida’s swampy polish. Their technical ferocity and morbid atmospheres draw parallels to Death’s foundational aggression and Pestilence’s chaotic edge, as seen in comments praising their thrash-leaning debut Expound & Exhort. Fans of Morbid Saint’s cult intensity and Autopsy’s doom-drenched decay will find kinship in Viogression’s ability to meld intricate brutality with a haunting, unrefined vibe. Echoes of Possessed’s primal fury and Morbid Angel’s raw power further cement their appeal, making them a hidden gem for devotees of death metal’s formative, unpolished era.
Diego Gedoz de Souza is responsible for the artwork. Make sure to check out him out on Facebook and Instagram.
Viogression will self-release Thaumaturgic Veil on July 11.

b) CULT BURIAL Release New Single, "Collapse," from Upcoming Album ‘Collapse of Pattern, Reverence of Dust’.
London (UK) - Blackened Death Metallers, Cult Burial, have released "Collapse," the first single from forthcoming album, Collapse of Pattern, Reverence of Dust. Stream the song at the following locations:
cultburial.bandcamp.com/track/collapse
Collapse of Pattern, Reverence of Dust is a record about erosion — of structures, of certainty, of meaning. Across eight tracks, Cult Burial tears through the frameworks we cling to, carving out something that sits between aggression and despair, weight and absence. The music is dense and layered, yet unafraid of space; at times claustrophobic, at others stripped to bare wire and exposed edge.
Cult Burial's music is a confluence of black, death, and doom metal, characterized by dissonant guitar work, relentless drumming, and guttural vocals. Their compositions often explore themes of existentialism, decay, and the human psyche, creating a soundscape that is both oppressive and thought-provoking.
Despite being a relatively new entity, Cult Burial has garnered attention from various metal publications and blogs, earning praise for their authentic approach to extreme metal and their ability to evoke a profound emotional response through their music.
Following two highly regarded albums, Cult Burial's forthcoming third release is unquestionably its finest work to date.
Cult Burial will release Collapse of Pattern, Reverence of Dust, September 5, on digital, CD, and vinyl formats.

Adding a ferocious punk energy to their New Orleans inspired sludge, the band is known for its intense live performances, workaholic attitude and nihilistic, tongue-in-cheek lyrics.
SEUM means ‘Venom ‘in Arabic, and is French slang for disappointment and frustration:
No guitars.
After releasing two albums, Winterized in June 2021, DOUBLE DOUBLE in February 2023 and multiple EPs among which Conjuring, a split EP with Temple of the Fuzz Witch in February 2025, the band is about to release Sad Labatt on June 16th, the first single of their upcoming third album, supporting their upcoming show at the Hellfest Open Air Festival on June 18th.

- June 16th: Paris - Le Klub
- June 18th: Hellfest Open Air Festival
From the band:
"Sad is the mood, Labatt is the drink, this one is for all the broken hearts looking too deep in their glass, still finding solace in music.
We love to try new stuff and Sad Labatt is our first song with clean vocals. It is also the first single of our upcoming third album…
We hope you will love us when we are smooth as much as when we are rough."
