[HEAVY NEWS] Buncha Newly-Released/Upcoming Heavy Albums for #MusicMonday.

  1. Condition Critical (USA) - Degeneration Chamber

New Jersey Thrash Metal quartet, Condition Critical, are set to release their third full-length album (and first since 2016's Operational Hazard)! Their most intense and complete effort to date, Degeneration Chamber will be released on September 5.

Unapologetically true to their roots, the new album pushes the band’s sound to new extremes. It is heavier, faster, slower, and more technically unrelenting. Every track is sharpened for maximum impact, delivering a refined yet feral evolution of their signature thrash assault.

This is not just another record, it’s the definitive Condition Critical statement: uncompromising, chaotic, and forged in pure aggression.

FFO: Slayer, Demolition Hammer, Vio-lence, Kreator, Exodus, Devastation, Pestilence

3. Aussie Crust/D-Beat Unit Bruxist To Release Self-Titled LP on July 19th 2025, via Gutter Prince Cabal.

What happens when three of Australia’s most relentless metal minds join forces? You get Bruxist, a no-holds-barred sonic detonation designed to rattle bones and shred speakers. Formed by underground veterans Terry Vainoras, Dan Nahum, and Dav ByrneBruxist is raw, volatile, and utterly uncompromising.

Rooted in crust punk fury and d-beat momentum, Bruxist crashes through the gates with chainsaw Stockholm-style death metal, grimy rock’n’roll swagger, and even shards of frostbitten black metal. It’s a high-speed collision of sound: filthy, feral, and dangerously alive.

With over five decades of collective experience in the extreme music trenches, this trio hits with surgical precision and unfiltered joy. Fans of Disfear, Tragedy, Trap Them, and Shackles will find plenty to love and plenty to fear.

4. Album Drop #1 From Transcending Obscurity Records - AbyssalisAdaptation LP

Abyssalis imbibe various elements of contemporary death metal to concoct music that is at once technical, groovy, and riff-driven. Their previous EP "The Mountain" drew a good deal of attention for doing just that and they've taken things up a notch on their latest release. The songs are carefully structured - they are fast but not rushing through all the time, just so that they can embed themselves in the minds of the listeners. The riffs are catchy and fleshed out, ensuring that they remain memorable, and the delivery is brisk yet impactful. Mac Smith, fresh from his stint in Eschaton, once again does a stellar job doing vocals matching the tone and mood of the music, varying his deep growls with acidic rasps especially in moments of the blackened influences seeping through. "Adaptation" is a solid, enjoyable EP and coupled with their previous material as bonus, the definitive release serves as a fine introduction for this unheralded band that is poised for bigger things in the future.

5. Album Drop #2 from ToR - Unaligned’s Savage Death-Metal LP ‘A Form Beyond’, Out Sept 19th.

After astounding tech death releases from Fleshbore and Eschaton on the label this year, there's the eagerly anticipated debut full length from Unaligned to look forward to. Once again boasting of a celebrated lineup featuring members of Withered Throne, Demon King, Fleshbore and others, Unaligned offer a blackened and comparatively more atmospheric take on the technical death metal style. Meticulously written and impeccably executed, their music has an epic flair which goes hand-in-hand with their undulating pattern showcasing the brilliant contrast between the faster, scathing parts and the smoother, melodic breaks. The alternating vocal delivery here too is fitting without being overpowering in any way. The songs are able to traverse multiple realms and subjects while remaining focused and impactful. There's a compelling, pulsating rhythm throughout, keeping things brisk and intense while also retaining a sense of groove. Sharp, taut and yet catchy, Unaligned have come up with an exemplary blackened tech death album in "A Form Beyond", and it only gets better with more listens.
