WHISPERHEAD:
Dubbo Metal Band Drops STERILISE Tour Across Victoria & Queensland
Off the back of their explosive new single Sterilise, Dubbo’s rising metal force Whisperhead are hitting the road this July with their STERILISE TOUR, tearing through Queensland and Victoria with their signature blend of metalcore, nu-metal energy, and unrelenting live power.
Released on April 24, 2025, Sterilise has already clocked over 15,000 Spotify streams in just its first month — a crushing follow-up to their single ‘My Game, My Rules’. Combined, both tracks have amassed more than 31,000 streams, marking Whisperhead as one of regional Australia's fastest-rising heavy acts.

‘MY GAME, MY RULES’:
Fusing the aggression of metalcore with the bounce and angst of nu-metal, Whisperhead are known for their high-energy shows, punchy riffs, machine-gun drumming, and commanding vocals that grip listeners from the first note. The band has earned national attention with airplay on Andrew Haug Radio, widespread support from Headbangers Australia, and a dominant performance at their homegrown Whisperfest earlier this year.
The STERILISE TOUR promises fans an unfiltered dose of Whisperhead’s trademark sound — volatile, visceral, and unapologetically loud. With a stacked lineup of heavy acts at each stop, this tour is set to be one of the most aggressive underground runs of the season.

Note: ISC recently spoke with Dan Catania, Director of Headbangers Australia, for a very special milestone - our 50th podcast episode! SEE HERE for link to the video version on the official ISC Youtube Channel. It’s a thorough and in-depth chat, but we kept it fun, humorous, conversational and genuine as well. ‘Tegridy, to quote one Randy Marsh.
Note that we’re transitioning to a new RSS distribution host, so the audio-only version will be up in the next day or so on our Youtube Podcast Category.
Massive thanks to Dan for his time and in-depth recant of so many aspects of musicianship, industry, media, mental health and the protective power of pursuing your passion - with necessary grit to boot.
As mentioned in the show notes, I couldn’t have asked for a more relevant chat with a music industry peer for the big 5-0!
As someone working from a voluntary pulpit on the metal church, and one who had the decision to potentially aggressively dig in, take even bigger risks than my own tiptoe into small business and sprint into the unknown - that takes both guts and tenacity in the current climate.
Dan’s done a Robert Frost and is charging headlong through the path less travelled, spurred on by the shamanic force metal instils in all us heavy-music fans.
Best wishes to these Dubbo legends on the upcoming tour but from my perspective - you guys are in safe hands.
Peace, Love and Sterilising Australian Land Through Metal-Fire, xoxo - Brady.
